Alice's Son

Years ago I was totally hooked on a TV series called "Alice," where a single mom brought up a young son, by being a waitress at Mel's Diner.I identified with the son because my mother was a single mom and she worked a long day job, to support me and my family. "Alice" was a wonderful show full of talented people. Philip McKeon played Alice's son, and he did a wonderful job, though I think he was under used. He is the borther of "Facts Of Life" actress Nancy McKeon.

Troy Ruptash.........I watched a movie on DVD on Saturday night called "Leaving Metropolis,"and it was a wonderful film. Troy Ruptash played one of the main characters. So I sent him 2 collages I made up.........

Leif Green............Davey the T-Bird from Grease 2....Love this guy, he was so funny in this film. Just loved the part where the T-birds are looking over the lockers at the guys singing in the shower area, and all you see of Davey is the top of his head, while you see the other T-Birds eyes.............

Richard Bull.........Nels Oleson, from "Little House On The Prairie," a remarkable actor who created a wonderful character. Played a harrassed husband and dad....Loved it whenever Nels took the upper hand over Harriet, Nellie and Willie......

Another Broadway success, this is a wonderful actor Chris Sieber. He has done much TV, Film and Broadway work."It's All Relative," was a decent show, but hard to get around. They had a Archie Bunker type bar owner and his Irish Wife and their handsome son who falls in love with a blonde adopted daughter of a gay couple played by the very talented Chris Sieber and John Benjamin Hickey..I wasn't surprised the show didn't make it. The Irish bar owner had none of the love that you could feel for Archie Bunker and the wife was not used to her best.There was alot of repeat humor. But I had hopes that the show could grow and make another classic comedy. But no such luck. Not that this will hold Chris Sieber down. He already has been in 2 Broadway plays since the ending of this program...............

The Greatest Character Actor

This is amazing, a man who has done more film and television work then most of the huge stars that are acting today. William Schallert played the father on so many TV shows and my special favorite was "The Patty Duke Show", He is truly a terrific actor and personality.Some of his other work incudes "Gremlins," "The New Gidget," "Twilight Zone, The Movie," "Little Women", "Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew Mysteries," and much much more............... He now is in his 80's and still working...........

Harvey Fierstein, is one man I would love to meet. He seems like a very interesting gentleman. About 10 years ago I met Brian Kerwin in New York City. He also stars in "Torch Song Trilogy," and is a wonderful man. He talked to me and my friend for over a half hour and was extremely complimentary about Harvey. Now Brian is back on Broadway also so I figured it is my time to get my Torch Song stuff signed. Harvey is the first and this week I am mailing to Brian ................

This was a fun success for me. When I was a child I watched a soap opera on TV that my grndmother was into called "Love Is A Many Splendored Thing," which starred Donna Mills, David Birney, Leslie Charleston. David went on to "Bridget Loves Bernie" and "St. Elsewhere " he was kind enough to sign my Red Shoes photo and write me a very nice letter back. Very handsome talented man.................

Also sent her a wonderful picture from "The Red Shoes" book by photographer "Kenn Duncan", have sent out several photos from this book hoping to get successes............

A great success for my first one for June. I mailed a photo that I bought at the Chiller Convention of her as Witchipoo with The Bay City Rollers and other characters. Thought that even though I had heard that she charged for signing maybe I would luck out and I did. Got it back today, signed and inscribed. There was a note attached about her charging for autographed photos on her website and what the proceeds go for. So what I am going to do in July when I have some extra cash. I am going on her website and order another photo from her and pay for it....you can never have to many signed Witchipoo photos........
