May Success

This is a funny story, about a year and a half ago I had written to Mr. Cauldfield asking for his autograph. This was before I started sending out SASE's and my own pictures on occasion , well sometimes when I get mail if it looks like something not important or a card or something I put the item in a pile of mail to open when I am in the mood. This is what happened here. This picture which measures 4 by 6 inches came in a envelope that looked like a card envelope. Last night I started opening mail and saw this envelope with a return address sticker on it saying Mills/Cauldfield. Knowing that Maxwell Cauldfield is married to Juliet Mills I opened the envelope and here was this picture, So glad I didn't throw it away...Funny thing is I just wrote again to him thinking that my letter had gotten no results. It's OK though I have some cool pictures to mail him.

Yesterday I mentioned that I got a postcard photo in the mail signed by Dean Jones and I was wondering why he hadn't sent back my photo. Well today the photo came in. So cool, he signed it on his arm. I personally think that he sent the postcard from a letter I had written over 2 years ago. Because it makes no sense for him to sign the photo and send the postcard photo seperately......

Some time ago I saw this actress on "Days Of Our Lives" and totally fell in love with her. She is so beautiful and talented, and amazing....Since then she has done some very cool films including this one "Mischief". I've also written to Doug McKeon who was in this film but have heard nothing from him yet. But this one from her has taken a long time so I still have hope from hearing from him....

I wrote to actor Jeffrey Tambor at the play "Glengarry Glenross" asking for a signed photo. But he sent me this note telling me he had no photos, and a signed playbill from the show. Such a nice man. Unfortunately he signed the playbill inside and not on the cover, but still a great success from a very talented man..............

Actor Ron Glass who played on the TV series "Barney Miller" did a sci-fi adventure show "Firefly" that I loved but unfortunately that show was canceled. But I found this great photo of Mr Glass from "Barney Miller" and sent it to him and he very kindly signed and inscribed it to me...A marvelous actor...........

This one was a little strange, I wrote to Dean Jones and sent him photo in a SASE, Instead of getting that back I got this 4 by 6 picturecard signed in no envelope. Hoping that the large photo will still show up. But very happy to have gotten anything from Mr. Jones. Today brought me another great success, one of my most favorite actors John Lithgow. He has been in so many wonderful films and TV' such as "All That Jazz", "Blow Out," "Footloose," Terms Of Endearment," "Harry And The Henderson," "3rd Rock From The Sun" and my personal favorite. "The World According To Garp...He kindly signed all three pictures and put a note on one of the photos, the one I sent him from "3rd Rock From The Sun," saying great picture...it has the Dirty Rotten Scrondrels letterhead.. Very happy with these........

This is a great success for me, I love the show "Reba" and one of the main reasons is this lady. Melissa Peterman is so funny on this show as Barbara Jean, whoever thought that they would do a show where the ex-wife and the woman who took the husband would be such friends, Miss Peterman also was hilarious on a episode of "Trading Spaces", where her husband and her did a room over for Chris Rich and his wife, while they did a room for her. Melissa"s outrageous flirting with carpenter Carter was so funny.I truly think the pairing of Reba McEntire and Melissa Peterman will be highly remembered in Television sit-com history........... Thank you Ryan for a great address.......

I was beginning to think I was never going to get another autograph again. But today was a wonderful surprise and I got 3. Actress Genevieve Bujold was kind enought to sign and inscribe the picture I sent her. This talented lady did some marvelous films including "Earthquake", "Tightrope". "Coma," Swashbuckler," and my personal favorite "Anne Of The Thousand Days." She still is working strong, with a new film to be released in 2005...............

Wow, this is what makes autograph collecting fun. When you think something is gone and you'll never see them again and suddenly. Bam!!!!! there they are and the celebrity has signed them to you as requested. I am a huge fan of Chris O'Donnell and had sent him 3 pictures awhile back, after 253 days. Today I got the pictures back signed to me. A big thrill let me tell you. The funny thing was I had seen my mailman earlier and he had told me I had nothing today...boy was he wrong!!!!!!!!!!

This was one of my favorite pictures. This is a pin-up that came in a Teen magazine called Bop.This was a great magazine and was always loaded with great pin-ups of the stars. Todays teen magazines always seem to just print the pictures of music stars. Back then they had all kinds actors, actresses, music stars alike. This pictures seems to be very early about the time he did "Fried Green Tomatoes" one of my most favorite films.....

today I sent out my 2nd mailing for May....
1) Ryan McPartlin......star of "Living With Fran", this is one gorgeous guy and actually has done alot in his career. He was on the soap "Passions" for awhile. So I wrote him and letter and sent a SASE.......
2) Ben Feldman......also a star on "Living With Fran". I get a kick out of this show and find this character very funny. So wanted to write him and tell him so. Sent a letter and a SASE......
3) Bob Saget.........Dad from TV's "Full House" and a very funny comic. Wrote him at the Off Broadway play that he is doing...Sent a letter and a SASE......
4) Chad Faust.........actor who has done many things including a guest spot on "Smallville"....Sent him a letter and a magazine page photo and a SASE.....
5) Chad Allen..........one of my favorite child actors who has grown up to a excellant adult actor. Yes I was addicted to "Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman" and also had watched Chad when he was in the Deidre Hall drama "Our House"...Sent him 2 pictures and a SASE.......
6) Jeffrey Tambor.......I find this man hilarious in everything he does. He is amazing actor. "Arrested Development", "The Larry Sanders Show". just to name a few...sent him a letter and a SASE to his Broadway Play.......

OK, now this is the funniest part, I sent Frank Gorshin a photo and a DVD insert from the Batman movie. well he signed both for me as you already saw. Well I used a backing board in the envelope to keep the photo and DVD insert from bending. Well he also signed the blank backing board. Being someone who seldoms throws anything away I looked through my clippings and had some of Frank, so I put them on the backing board around the signature that he put on it. What fun this guy is, he even initialed the envelope. Amazing man!!!!!!!!!!!!!
